I love this amazing friend of mine... since the day we met so long ago!! He does so many selfless things for his community and has a heart with more color than the biggest box of Crayola. He has been blanketing Orlando every winter for 14 years with the help of his friends and community and even strangers...which he has never met one. Cindy Davis

Meeting Frankie was an event in itself. Lot of respect and love for art in his eyes. I miss seeing that passion.

My first intro to you was actually via poetry. Juliana Davidson Ross

I Do not think I ever would have gotten the courage to play and sing in public. If not for the loving encouraging welcome at my first outing at an Apartment E event. Every event I've been able to attend or participate, whether singing or doing art, has been a rejuvenating and memorable experience! Always such such a great vibe and great group of people!

Frankie has been such a great friend, and has supported me and my creative dreams for many years.Apartment E is such a humble and visionary foundation for the arts scene here in Orlando. Frankie is such a great inspiration for the community, a for aspiring artists. Words can't really describe how feel.you know. I love you man, and everything you do! Let it rip!

Whitney Wolf

Oh man! I was playing Apartment E events before I had a band...Not the JC's young ones. The band that played for 7 years you never saw if you are 32 and younger. UMOJA! I have some wonderful stories for you.

Frankie. A soul that I have a hard time defining.. bc Frankie is so much more than words could ever be described of him. He is the essence of unconditional love for humanity. Seeing the best in everyone, and being the spearhead of bringing a community together. He always has been, and so much more than that even.

Mendi Cowles

Apartment E gave me my first art show, and my first opportunity to curate, so many memories that do not fit in just one post, can't wait to create more. To have Frankie in my life has been one of the best things that ever happened to me.

You know I'm in, boy have I got some stories too!. Remember that fabulous night you drummed up an Apartment E night in the building that Graffiti Junktion burger bar is in on Washington Street ( Cavo now).. It was a sensory overload!. I will never forget that night, even though I can't remember the year. hahahaah

The first time I met Frankie, is was probably from a myspace post he put out saying that he wold be at the office gallery painting that day, and getting ready for a show if anyone wanted to join him. I had the day off, and went down expecting lots of inspiration, I got more of that than expected. Still.

Frankie Messina and Victor Perez gave a lot of lost soul artists a venue to perform and do stuff in the 90's. Gallery 611 will always have a special place in my heart. I know Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic remembers, as many other NYC artists do. Frankie, You gave mt experimental spoken word, music, and video a place to live. Blue Screen was a fun project. Thank you for that.

Morgan Freeman

Dear Frankie, you are our Johnny Appleseed. Cultivating art everywhere you go.

Beth McKee

I have a few little stories I would like to tell, about a hip young man we know so well. Frankie, you are love and light.

Nora Brooker

I showed up in the Orlando art scene in 1997, and I couldn't be more grateful to entities like Apartment E and Frankie Messina for shaping my life and for being a part of the reason for who and where I am to this day. Thank you . There are many memories that create one awesome story, and I can't leave this post without also thanking Victor Perez, and Gallery 611.
