ALEXANDRAH  alexandrah@solilla.com

Of chicago this gahDess glides intensely. sun and resonance is her father, calm night sky and love, her mother. one fourth the army Solillaquists of Sound. unafraid to move. unafraid to change toward more tightly the embrace of benefit to many. encouraging. supporting. hear to listen, and hear to speak. this is not a philosophy, you see ~ philosophy implies non-action, thought and concept only. once these things are lived, it is LIFE herself. LAW herself. TRUTH herself. rhythm is inescapable, and chance is impossible. BEcause. more living in rhythm of their own hearts = the peace we wish we had to take such chances. BE the change you wish to see. by becoming we are only then able to envision such greatness, and insight others toward a progress. judgement strips us of our power. education, discipline, honesty bring her back. there is no excuse for evading responsibility. and no one knowing what we have done better than ourselves

ALEX J. KATSAROS  greekpeace@yahoo.com

Having arrived in Central Florida during the summer of 1996, Alex has enjoyed the past 10 years in the sun attending UCF (BA, MA, and now PhD in Texts & Technology).  When not hitting the books or teaching college writing/digital media courses, he can be seen playing acoustic/electric hand percussion or guitar in various groups around Orlando: including world-fusion project “Yanbo,” trance-folk band “Omiza River,” and most recently the progressive project called “Stranger Than Fiction.”  My favorite aspect of playing live music right now is straight-up improvisation, because it challenges us to stay present and communicate fully in the moment (not just listen to ourselves) and push each other to perform at our best…all things worth striving for in everyday life, not just on stage.  Why live in the moment?  William Blake says it well: "To see the world in a grain of sand, and to see heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hands, and eternity in an hour."  Come hear Yanbo extend some improv on the 3rd Monday of each month at the Underground Bluz out by UCF, for their Urban Jazz-Funk night -- at which we provide freestyle backing music for this themed open mic; lend us your ear one of these times (and bring a poem or two)!  Namaste...
