Chris will be reading from and signing his debut collection of poetry Short Houses with Wide Porches. Most of the poems in this collection were started or completed during a three-month residency at The Kerouac House in Orlando, Fla., in the fall of 2006. Watkins drew inspiration for this work from the natural environment, and the sweet spirit of Kerouac, evoked by the house, fed by a steady diet of 1950s-era jazz, and channeled to paper through the Morse code of vintage typewriter keys rattling away till the wee hours. A Unique look at a Unique man.

Andy Warhol is one of the most talked about artists of the last 100 years, which was interesting, since many did not think he was an artist at all. However, what this film tries to do is show the uniqueness of the man, not the artist. In this movie we see the man that invented "pop art" and helped to promote and inspire several young artists of the day, such as Basquiat. Perhaps Warhol did not have the artistic skills of a Norman Rockwell, but he did have the flair and eye for detail which few have ever possessed. This movie takes a somewhat friendly and well deserved look at the man and the artist.
