CODEPINK
is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end
the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare,
education and other life-affirming activities. CODEPINK
rejects the Bush administration's fear-based politics that justify violence,
and instead calls for policies based on compassion, kindness and a commitment to
international law. With an emphasis on joy and humor,
CODEPINK
women and men seek to activate, amplify and inspire a community of peacemakers
through creative campaigns and a commitment to non-violence.
HOMELESS FEEDINGS
CODEPINK Orlando
has joined with Stop-Orlando, the coalition
of groups trying to overturn Orlando's new
anti-feeding ordinance and several local
CODEPINKers have been taking food down on
Wednesday nights at 5pm. Deidra and Helen
are doing First Wednesday, Leslie is doing
Third Wednesday and Cris Fields has been
covering the rest.
We really need volunteers for the 2nd
and 4th Wednesdays to serve food.
If you are interested in participating even
once a quarter, please email us at
codepinkorlando@gmail.com
with HOMELESS FEEDINGS in the subject line.
Food sharings are at Central and Eola by the
circle at the bridge.
