KaKarmo seeks to present an expansive view of the world that starts in our community. Through projects that enliven us with open and powerful expression, KaKarmo will provide a springboard for the ideas that shape our society. KaKarmo is the brain child of Kat Quast who has been working in the Central Florida entertainment and non profit world since 1998. Ms. Quast was General Manager of Enzian Theater and The Florida Film Festival for over 10 years. (BAY TWO is her baby)

Local
artist originally from New Orleans. She is currently enrolled at
the University of Florida for her B.F.A. in Visual Arts, with
aspirations to receive an M.F.A. in Visual Arts. Her work varies
in medium, mainly using a mixed-media palette. Focal points in
her pieces are found objects, creating even more suspense. Much
of her artwork confronts critical issues affecting the world
today, essential hoping to raise awareness about concepts that
are sometimes shielded by higher authority. Another portion of
her art is devoted purely to the inner thoughts and emotions.

I am an artist that loves to create beauty in the environment's of artists. Not that I do not enjoy helping everyone achieve happiness with their surroundings. I personally enjoy working with people who live to be creative. Those who are painters, writers, actors, singers, editors, directors, play instruments, poets, etc. I feel a particular since of accomplishment that comes from my belief that environment is often overlooked but crucially important for ANY ARTIST. I want people that will view my work and know I am a person of creative brotherhood. I create environments to suite the needs on an individual level. I do not run to Pier One, or quick grab the New Designs magazine to get my ideas. I get my ideas from whom I am doing the job and put them together with my interpretations (which are quite insightful). When I am finished it is one of a kind and beautiful. Whether it is wardrobe, set design, or interior design in general.
