Nude Nite (some thoughts and a small history)
www.nudeniteorlando.com
nude
nite is a world-known art show that happens every year on
valentines weekend in Orlando, and now has a weekend in Tampa as
well.. Apartment E was there in the beginning years as VICTOR
PEREZ - the founder, and the manager of V-groove productions, and
Gallery 611 began nude nite with much passion and love for Orlando
artists and a desire to get more of their art sold to a larger
market. Victor was one of the first promoters in Orlando to
achieve a FUN , Profitable balance of Art Buyers and true Artists
in Orlando. The fact that he used the NUDE as a theme, helped to
press Orlando into a larger realm. Both physically, and mentally.
Victor's soul, heart, and passion was in this event, and it
will always be known as his baby... Nude Nite caught the
interest of my great friends Jason Neff of the Central Florida
Film and Video Festival, and another of my friends, KELLY STEVENS
..and the three were in talks of going into partnership together.
and bringing Nude Nite to 4 cities around 2000. This was exciting
for us all. I was merely a "worker" for Victor.. and I Bartended
for all of his shows until 1999.. The partnership never became
real, and the contract was not signed. Kelly had invested into the
marketing of Nude Nite... Victor decided to move to Philadelphia.
Jason moved off to LA, and I have concentrated and inturn
incorporated Apartment E. Kelly Stevens has taken Nude Nite
to new heights and it is an event that gives World Exposure to
Orlando Artists.. This is an Orlando Original and needs to be
treasured.
